Triggering of article 40 of the code of criminal procedure and internal investigation

Following two reports from former students of Jérôme Pernoo who wished to remain anonymous, Émilie Delorme (director of the CNSMDP) alerts, as required by article 40 of the code of criminal procedure, the Public Prosecutor, which triggers a preliminary investigation at the Minor Protection Brigade a month later;(April 20, 2021).[sourcee 1]

Émilie Delorme entrusts an internal investigation to Christophe Pillon, head of the HR department of the Conservatoire and Caroline De Haas, director of the Egaé group.[source 2]

Jérôme Pernoo is summoned to the Director's office to be informed of the opening of an internal investigation and his protective suspension.

Interviews are then organized by videoconference and led by Caroline De Haas, with 51 people.

The Paris Criminal Court pronounces an acquittal of all the facts denounced by the former students of Jérôme Pernoo to the CNSMDP.

The Paris Criminal Court pronounces a conviction for the assault denounced by Noé Natorp. 

The sentence handed down is one year's imprisonment, fully suspended. An additional sentence of prohibition on carrying out any activity with minors was imposed for a period of ten years. 

He ordered the payment of damages for Noé Natorp: €6,070 for material damage (psychological monitoring), €5,000 (out of €45,000 requested) for moral damage and €5,000 under article 475-1 of the criminal procedure code.
